Smile Suffolk is an award-winning dental practice based in the heart of Suffolk. The premier dentist surgery offers a full range of dental services and aesthetic treatments. For the past seven years, the practice has grown to what you see today, which is a first-class team providing first-class dentistry to all its patients.

The team is headed up by Dr Senthil and the focus is on whole-patient care. Treatments are tailored and delivered to suit individual needs and wishes. The standards of care are exceptional, which has resulted in a strong foundation for treatment and aftercare. This has entailed the dentist in Ipswich has evolved largely from referrals and recommendations from family and friends, something the team is very proud of.

Smile Suffolk offers a wide range of treatments including teeth whitening, teeth straightening, veneers and dentures as well as general dentistry and hygienist appointments. Adult braces have become very popular of late, with more adults realising that there are a wider range of teeth straightening options available, which won’t infringe on their lives. Clear braces, such as Invisalign are becoming world-renowned for all the right reasons. Invisalign ® Go is an orthodontic treatment designed to treat mild to moderate orthodontic cases by straightening the front ten teeth.

Invisalign – teeth straightening treatment

The Invisalign system comprises several sets of clear plastic aligners, which when worn over your teeth and gums, gently move the teeth to the desired straighter position. The aligners need to be changed every few weeks and they can be removed for eating, drinking, and brushing, which makes them so convenient.

The aligners are also virtually invisible and fit snugly over your teeth as they are custom-made. The treatment time depends on what needs to be achieved but is usually in line with the length of treatment time for traditional braces. The aligners should be worn for 22 hours per day to get the maximum effects and best results. However, the system is flexible enough that you could remove them for special occasions.

Once the treatment is finished and you are sporting your new straight smile, you will need to wear a retainer. This is the case after any orthodontic treatment. Retainers keep the teeth in place and make sure the teeth don’t start moving back to their old position. Your dentist will be able to speak with you about the different options. These include a fixed retainer, subtly attached on the back of the teeth, or a removable retainer, which can be worn at night.
